Vascular & endovascular surgeon at S.L. Raheja Hospital: what I treat

I am an MCh vascular & endovascular surgeon. At S.L. Raheja Hospital I see patients with blocked or bleeding arteries, vein problems, swollen limbs and wounds that will not heal. Many of these can now be treated through a needle puncture instead of open surgery.

The conditions I treat include:

If you need a procedure, I will explain the options and discuss where it can be done.

What to bring to the OPD

Bring any scans you already have, such as a Doppler, CT angiogram, MRI or angiography CD. Also bring recent blood reports, old discharge summaries and a list of your medicines, and tell me if you take a blood thinner.

  • Varicose veins: a venous Doppler of both legs, if you had one in the last 6 months. Laser, radiofrequency and glue treatments are day-care procedures, and most patients return to work in 1 to 3 days.
  • Leg pain on walking or a foot wound: any arterial Doppler or CT angiogram report, and recent sugar and HbA1c reports if you have diabetes.
  • DVT: the Doppler report, and the name and dose of the blood thinner you were started on.
  • Dialysis access: your latest kidney function report and a note from your nephrologist.
  • Aneurysm or carotid narrowing: the CT or Doppler report that found it.
